Our recent tea outing

We had a lovely, unexpected outing recently! A group of seniors and I visited a unique local spot to try their very strong, traditional Indian tea. While most of us enjoyed the rich spice blend, we found it a bit too bold—we ended up sharing cups—and quite sweet.

Inspired to create a balanced version, I experimented with the recipe at home. I tweaked it to have a gentler caffeine lift and just the right touch of cane sugar (or none at all, depending on your preference!). Brewed with rich low-fat evaporated milk and warm spices like cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, and a subtle hint of fresh ginger, it turned out absolutely delicious—and costs under $1 a cup to make!

With the chilly weather fast approaching, it’s the perfect excuse for us to get out of the house and gather together. Please come join us for a hot cup of custom chai, good company, and great conversation. I’d love to share a cup with you!
